It is almost spring. We are thinking about getting a dog/puppy. Today I picked up my first CSA (Consumer Supported Agriculture) box. Fresh, organic, local vegetables from less than 50 miles away. Needless to say vegetables are my new favorite food group.

We visited Del Rio Botanical, a CSA provider just a few miles away from downtown Sacramento with our friends a few weeks ago. I was sold. I feel like I have farm in my blood; or wish I did. Too bad I'm just two generations too late in my family.

This week we received: fresh oregano, green garlic, mixed chard, mustard greens, carrots, asparagus, broccoli, and salad greens. I like new experiences.
